At least 479,096 Russian citizens have entered Kyrgyzstan for nine months of 2022. The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security informed 24.kg news agency.
Compared to the same period last year, the figure increased 1.9 times. Last year, 251,076 people entered the country for nine months.
In January-September 2022, some 445,004 people left Kyrgyzstan. The figure was 1.8 times lower — 247,676 for the same period last year.
About 3,400 people remained in the country last year. According to the results of nine months of 2022, the figure is ten times higher — 34,092 Russians.
In 2021, most Russian citizens entered the country in August — 51,100 people. In the same year, the figures soared sharply in May, when the number of people crossing the border almost doubled — from 28,900 to 54,600. Since then, the figures have been growing. Most Russians entered Kyrgyzstan in July — more than 90,000 people. In September 2022, at least 79,491 people crossed the borders of the Kyrgyz Republic, and 72,038 left the country.
