An agreement was signed with a Belarusian company for the construction of a waste recycling plant in Karakol city. Press service of the City Hall reported.
«This is the first such plant in Kyrgyzstan. At least 135 million soms were allocated from the republican budget for its construction. Point of Growth project, which was prepared by the local authorities, was approved by the President Sadyr Japarov,» the statement says.
From 40 to 50 jobs will be created at the plant. The Belarusian company Sifania Ecotechnika will engage in the construction. It won a tender for 111 million soms.
According to the director of the firm, if the construction starts in November, the plant may start operating in December this year.
