Kyrgyzstani detained for spreading extremist ideas on social media

A Kyrgyzstani was detained for spreading ideas of extremism on social media. Press center of the State Committee for National Security reported.

«The citizen of Kyrgyzstan, who arrived on a Novosibirsk — Osh flight, was detained at the airport in the city of Osh. According to operational information, he was engaged in the distribution of materials of banned religious extremist and terrorist organizations,» the statement says.

Theological examination confirmed the presence of extremist appeals in publications that the suspect distributed on social media through his account. The detainee was placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security. The investigation is ongoing.
