Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Edil Baisalov, held a meeting on the introduction of new technologies for the mechanism of traceability and control over the circulation of medicines and medical products. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
The developed system will ensure the safety of medicines and improve their quality on the market through a transparent licensing process in accordance with international standards. The introduction of the system will contribute to reduction of prices for medicines by ensuring full control over the market.
Real-time information about the availability and location of specific medicines will be available. Citizens will be able to check the legality of the purchased medicine and receive the necessary information on it.
The medicines consumption data collected by the system is used in the development of the national health strategy. This will allow assessing the situation with drug supply throughout the country in real time, and will increase the ability to control prices.
Following the meeting, the leadership of the Cabinet of Ministers gave specific instructions to speed up the introduction of a new medicines traceability system.
