The Prosecutor General’s Office of Kyrgyzstan initiated two criminal cases against the Minister of Energy. The supervisory authority informed 24.kg news agency.
The cases were initiated on the facts of abuse of official position.
«In 2021-2022, the Minister of Energy Doskul Bekmurzaev sent employees on business trips to the UAE, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Russia at the expense of the budget. These people were not experts in the respective industry. As a result, the state suffered significant material damage. In addition, Doskul Bekmurzaev, during the overhaul of the facilities of Teplye Klyuchi health complex, caused damage to a private company in the amount of more than 15 million soms. The actions of the official led to a gross violation of the interests of the state and private individuals,» the Prosecutor General’s Office said.
