The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan lifted previously imposed restrictions for exchange offices on carrying out transactions with commercial banks for the purchase/sale of foreign currency. Website of the National Bank says.
The decision was made in connection with the relative stabilization of the country’s foreign exchange market. However, the relief is temporary. It is valid until December 1, 2022.
At the end of July, the Board of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan adopted a resolution on temporary restrictions on foreign exchange transactions. It set a limit for commercial banks to simultaneously conduct exchange transactions with an exchange office during the day within the amount of working capital of the exchange office. This applied to both cash and non-cash foreign currency.
