Migrants transfer $1.3 billion to Kyrgyzstan for 6 months of 2022

In June 2022, migrants transferred $317.2 million to Kyrgyzstan, which is $60 million more than a month earlier. Such data is provided by the National Bank.

In total, compatriots transferred $1,347.5 billion to the country in January-June. This is $94.26 million more than in 2021. Russia accounts for more than 97 percent of the remittances— $1,284.14 billion. At least $28.89 million was transferred to the Kyrgyz Republic from other states, and $26.86 million — from the USA.

An outflow of funds ($85.7 million) was also registered following the results of June. The main part of the money was transferred to Russia — $82.3 million. The outflow is estimated at $361.71 million for six months.

The net inflow of money transfers in January-June to Kyrgyzstan reached $958.79 million.

Last year, the volume of money transfers to the republic amounted to $2,756.24 billion. At least $562.77 million was transferred from the Kyrgyz Republic to other countries. Net inflow is $2,193.47 billion.
