Kyrgyzstani Chyngyzhan Sagynaliev won a bronze medal at the Asian Judo Championship. Competitions are held in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan).
He competed today, starting from the 1/8 of the final (weight category up to 73 kilograms). The member of the national team of the Kyrgyz Republic defeated the bronze medalist of the Tokyo Olympics from Mongolia Tsogtbaatar Tsend-Ochir. In the quarterfinals, he defeated a Filipino Keisei Nakano.
In the semifinals, Chyngyzhan Sagynaliev lost to a judoka from Kazakhstan Daniyar Shamshaev.
In the fight for bronze, he defeated another member of the Kyrgyz team — Ertur Turdubaev.
The bronze medal became Kyrgyzstan’s first medal at the 2022 Asian Championship.
Chyngyzhan Sagynaliev is the judo champion of Asia among youth.
