Investigator and operations officer detained for bribetaking in Bishkek

An investigator and an operations officer of the Internal Affairs Department of Leninsky district of Bishkek were detained for extortion. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.

«An investigator of the Investigation Service, senior police lieutenant and operations officer of the Criminal Investigations Department, police captain were detained on July 28 when taking $2,000,» the statement says.

It was found out that the investigator extorted money from a foreign citizen for termination of the persecution based on the materials of the pre-investigation check.

The investigator was placed in the temporary detention center of the SCNS.
