The Sverdlovsky District Court of Bishkek ruled to arrest a surgeon after a woman died after the liposuction procedure. Press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of the capital reported.
«The Investigation Service of the Main Internal Affairs Department is investigating a criminal case initiated under Articles 146 (improper performance of professional duties by a medical or pharmaceutical worker) and 127 (causing death by negligence) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic,» the police noted.
The suspect will spend a month in the pre-trial detention center 1. Investigation into the cause of the patient’s death is ongoing.
The 40-year-old patient started feeling unwell on June 10 after the liposuction procedure in one of the capital’s private clinics. She had severe pain in her abdomen. Four days later, the woman was taken to the National Hospital. However, doctors were unable to save her. According to doctors, she had multiple organ failure. A criminal case was opened on the fact of death.
