Activist Adilet Ali Myktybek (Baltabai) was detained for 48 hours. Ravshan Dzheenbekov, ex-deputy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan, informed 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the activist is charged with calls for mass riots.
«Adilet actively opposed opening of casinos, introduction of cash registers and took an active political stance. A falsified criminal case was initiated against him, in such a way they want to silence him. We do not agree with the accusations against the active citizen of Kyrgyzstan,» Ravshan Dzheenbekov said.
He noted that Adilet Baltabai also worked for Next TV channel.
Adilet Ali Myktybek opposed legalization of casinos and held rallies against opening of gambling establishments.
