Azamat Musakeev, a member of El Yntymagy movement, was placed under house arrest. Lawyer Baktybek Zhumashev told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, such a decision was made by the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek.
«Thus, all the accused were released. I believe that the accusation brought against my client is unfounded. There is not a single piece of evidence in the case that the members of El Yntymagy tried to seize power. No investigative actions were carried out with Azamat Musakeev, except for initial interrogations,» Baktybek Zhumashev said.
In November 2021, candidates for Parliament from Green Party and members of El Yntymagy movement were detained within the case on coup attempt.
The State Committee for National Security then reported about a group planning to seize power.
According to investigators, Askat Temraliev, Bakytbek Zhetigenov and candidates for deputies planned to seize power after the announcement of the voting results. They allegedly counted on the support of certain political forces, including those who could lose the parliamentary elections. Bakytbek Zhetigenov was released from custody in December last year. The court also changed the measure of restraint for other members of El Yntymagy movement.
