In April 2022, migrants transferred $255.2 million to Kyrgyzstan, which is $101.8 million more than a month earlier. The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.
In total, compatriots have transferred $773.12 million to the country in January-April. This is $13.97 million less than in 2021. Russia accounts for more than 97 percent of remittances— $735.85 million. At least $15.27 million was transferred to the Kyrgyz Republic from other countries, from the USA — $17.93 million.
An outflow of funds ($ 79.7 million) was also registered following the results of April. The main part of the money was transferred to Russia — $73.3 million. The outflow is estimated at $190.52 million for four months.
The net inflow of money transfers in January-April to Kyrgyzstan reached $582.6 million.
Last year, the volume of money transfers to the republic amounted to $2,756.24 billion. At least $562.77 million was transferred from the Kyrgyz Republic to other countries. Net inflow is $2,193.47 billion.
