A capsule was laid on the construction site of a new children’s rehabilitation center in Bishkek. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The land plot had been idle after the fire for 12 years.
«We planned to build a rehabilitation center for a long time. I am sure that it will become a good support for children and will help many of them receive quality medical care,» Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, said.
The Cabinet noted that Kyrgyzstroyservise state enterprise under the Department of Presidential Affairs is the customer of the facility. The area of the land plot is 1,892 square meters (0,1892 hectares), area of the building (according to the project) is 1,728 square meters, the built-up area is 508 square meters. Construction of the facility is planned to be completed by the end of 2022.
The rehabilitation center will be built in place of the houses of the former president Kurmanbek Bakiyev, located at 519 and 521 Zhibek Zholu Avenue. The buildings have already been demolished.
