A criminal group involved in extortion and kidnapping of a Kyrgyzstani was neutralized in Moscow. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Representative office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan in Russia received information about an organized criminal group that was working on behalf of a crime boss in Moscow and Moscow Oblast and was extorting money from compatriots, trying to organize control over citizens engaged in entrepreneurial activities.
It has been established that the group was headed by a 34-year-old native of Naryn region, nicknamed Karager. The man has previously been convicted of murder, robbery, hooliganism and fraud. He is registered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs as an active member of the organized criminal group.
A Kyrgyzstani contacted the police on June 10 and told that unfamiliar people forcibly put his relative in a car in the territory of Kuzminki park and took him away in an unknown direction. Law enforcement officers found the victim in one of the rented apartments in Moscow. He was extorted 1,800 million rubles.
Seven natives of Kyrgyzstan, involved in the kidnapping of their compatriot, were detained. A criminal case was opened under article 163 «Kidnapping of a person committed by an organized group; extortion committed by an organized group with the use of violence in order to obtain property on an especially large scale» of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
