Citizen of Afghanistan detained with 16 kilograms of drugs in Batken region

A citizen of Afghanistan was detained in Batken region of Kyrgyzstan with a large batch of drugs. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

The man is reportedly involved in organizing a channel for the supply of drugs. About 6,942 grams of heroin and 9,550 grams of hashish were confiscated from him. The detainee planned to transport the drugs to Kyrgyzstan for their further transportation and sale in Europe.

A criminal case was opened under article 282 «Illegal manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues for the purpose of sale» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The foreigner was placed in a temporary detention facility.
