Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on approval of the rules of safe handling of civilian and service weapons, training programs and procedures for inspection was adopted in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The Interior Minister Niyazbekov said that the document stipulates that individuals who purchase self-defense, sporting firearms, hunting and throwing weapons for the first time must be tested at their place of residence for knowledge of the rules of safe handling of weapons.
Training of owners and users of weapons should be carried out according to the rules, which include study of the tactical and technical properties of weapons, the basics of first aid, practical shooting, responsibility for violation of storage, carrying, transportation and registration (re-registration) of weapons procedures.
«Training of owners and users of weapons will be carried out in educational organizations that have the appropriate license. With positive results of the test, a citizen will receive a certificate of completion of the training program. It is aimed at more responsible observance by citizens and users of the legislation of Kyrgyzstan in terms of the use of weapons, compliance with the requirements of storage, use and transportation of weapons,» Ulan Niyazbekov said.
