The grand opening of Nariste International Children’s Folklore Festival took place in Bishkek. Press service of the City Hall reported.
«Let Nariste festival become a new step towards the big stage, a new achievement on your life path. After all, it is creativity that fills our hearts with goodness, light, love, beauty and happiness. For our part, we will make every effort to make each festival participant feel like a long-awaited guest in our capital and country,» Mayor of Bishkek Emilbek Abdykadyrov said.
A parade-defile of the countries participating in the festival took place.
The program includes: performances by folklore groups, exhibitions of applied arts, an international conference, performances by participants at the main venues of municipal districts, parade (cavalcade) processions along the central streets, a tour of the historical and cultural sites of the city, a trip to Issyk-Kul lake.
The festival will run until June 8.
As the City Hall noted, the main task of Nariste festival is to preserve and develop the traditional folk culture of Kyrgyzstan, as well as to get acquainted with the creative work of other countries.
