Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov spoke at Modern Digital Bank and Ecosystem Forum and offered the Russian Skolkovo Foundation to open an IT village in Issyk-Kul region.
He noted that development of information technology has led to a completely new approach to doing banking business.
«Fusion of financial products with modern IT capabilities allows to significantly increase productivity and efficiency of the entire economy, and the Kyrgyz Republic does not remain aloof from these global trends. E-commerce, remote services in financial and banking services, and active development of financial marketplaces are becoming the key directions of financial technologies development in our country. We do not stop at this and accelerate the introduction of cashless innovative products in the financial and economic processes of the country,» Akylbek Japarov said.
According to him, the normative base of the Kyrgyz Republic allows taking such decisions in the shortest possible time.
The official also stressed that the Cabinet of Ministers is ready to support active implementation of digital innovations in all spheres of human activity, whether it is providing banking or government services, as well as in larger projects concerning development of digital economy in general.
In his turn, Pavel Novikov, Director of Skolkovo Foundation’s Competence Center, noted that he sees state support in the development of the digital industry, and expressed readiness to cooperate in financial and economic spheres, as well as in further promotion of local startups and introduction of digital innovations.
Eight major Russian IT companies took part in the forum.
