Kyrgyzstan proposes to change strategy of development of Eurasian integration

Sadyr Japarov voiced his opinion on how to make the development of Eurasian integration effective. The President of Kyrgyzstan shared his ideas at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

He noted that he supports the conclusions and recommendations made on the main directions of the macroeconomic policy of the EAEU states for 2022-2023. He believes that some of the recommendations cannot be implemented solely by legal regulation and use of fiscal support and incentives. It is creation of favorable conditions for increasing investment in the real sector of the economy, maintaining macroeconomic and financial stability and resistance to external challenges and risks, developing scientific, technical and industrial potential, and promoting goods to third countries.

«For these purposes, it is important to pay attention to the real development of cooperation through financial incentives, changing the principles of operation of existing financial institutions, introducing tools of development institutions in them, launching structures for development designing and supporting the economy. Today we will discuss the implementation of the strategy for development of Eurasian integration until 2025. It is obvious that, in general, both the member states and the EEC are carrying out certain and quite intensive and successful work in some areas,» Sadyr Japarov said.

«At the same time, it is important to see not only the statistics, but also the problems in the development of integration, to feel the real possibilities of approaching the goals that we have set. I would like to suggest reflecting the problematic issues of integration and areas that require more prompt solutions in a separate block, presented in a large-scale document. In addition, we need to think about updating the strategy, based on the new reality of development of the global economy, sanctions wars and violations in the international transport and logistics system,» he concluded.
