Kyrgyzstan is ready to expand cooperation with Kazakhstan. The President of Kyrgyzstan stated at a meeting in an expanded format with the head of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Sadyr Japarov noted that the official visit of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is taking place within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
«We are ready to expand and strengthen our cooperation, providing support at the international level, to wage a joint fight against modern challenges. We adopted a number of significant treaties and agreements and were able to raise our relations to the level of strategic cooperation. Friendship and family ties between our states are reflected in the works of many poets and writers. Chingiz Aitmatov compared our two peoples, calling them two wings of a bird. Mukhtar Shakhanov wrote that there is no people closer for the Kazakhs than the Kyrgyz, and for the Kyrgyz — closer than the Kazakhs,» he said.
The President of Kazakhstan arrived in Bishkek on an official visit today. The meeting of the heads of state is held at Ala-Archa 1 state residence. The national flags of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan are hung here, the guard of honor is lined up, carpets are laid.
During the official ceremony, after the mutual greeting of the presidents, the national anthems of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan were played. The leaders of the two countries accepted the report of the Commander of the Guard of Honor company.
Before that, the leaders of the two states held talks in a narrow format behind closed doors.
