Contraband cargo was detained in Talas region of Kyrgyzstan. The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security reported.
A Mercedes Benz-Sprinter van was detained at one of the sections of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border. At least 90 boxes of cigarettes were found in the van without proper documents. According to preliminary data, the cost of the goods amounted to 875,000 soms.
The driver planned to transport the cargo from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan for sale. The vehicle and the cargo were handed over to the employees of the competent authorities for further investigation.
