The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan intervened in the foreign exchange market for the first time in almost two months. Official website of the bank says.
In total, $6 million was bought with settlements on the date of the transaction.
The result of the intervention was a slight appreciation of the dollar. Commercial banks and exchange offices currently buy the currency for 81-82 soms, and sell it for 82-82.8 soms. The nominal rate is set at 80.2275 soms.
Since the beginning of the year, the National Bank has sold $217,650 million during five interventions. Three more times the central bank bought the dollars for $25.9 million. Thus, the net sale of the foreign currency since the beginning of the year amounted to $191,750 million.
