Immortal Regiment march takes place in Bishkek

The Immortal Regiment march is taking place in Bishkek.

It started today, on May 9, at 9 a.m. from the Southern Gates. No registration was required. Everyone who wished came with portraits of veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

About 1,000 people gathered. They walk on foot along Baitik Baatyr Street to Victory Square. Organizers of the event asked the participants not to succumb to provocations.

The march was held online for the past two years due to COVID-19 restrictions.
