As noted, the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin held a meeting with the ambassadors of the SCO.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to the Russian Federation Kazem Jalali proposed to organize joint trainings for athletes of the SCO countries. «Iran supports your proposal for cooperation in various areas. It would be possible to organize joint trainings between the SCO countries and exchange of experience in the field of sports, develop a common strategy,» Kazem Jalali said.
«I liked the idea of training camps. I think that this initiative will find support at the meeting in Tashkent (with the Sports Ministers of the SCO member states on May 20). The position of all states is that the development of sports among the SCO countries is of interest. Within the framework of cooperation, a marathon has already been held in Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan also made a proposal to host the SCO Games. Dialogue and exchange of views are important today. International cooperation is a priority for us. It is necessary to find new opportunities for organizing competitions and supporting sports for anti-crisis purposes,» Oleg Matytsin stressed.
