Parliament of Kyrgyzstan adopted a draft law on the return of status of a state channel to OTRK in the third reading.
At least 77 deputies supported the bill on the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Corporation of the Kyrgyz Republic, 6 voted against.
The draft law provides for renaming of the Public Television and Radio Corporation into a «national» one and abolition of the Supervisory Board. The general director of the TV channel will be appointed by the president. Additional 13 million soms will be required from the budget after changing the status of OTRK.
