Creation of new opposition announced in Bishkek

Presentation of an opposition movement Kyrgyzstan Birikken Democratiyalyk Kyimyly (United Democratic Movement of Kyrgyzstan) is taking place in Maxim Gorky minipark in Bishkek.

The movement includes activists, representatives of political parties, for example, ex-judge of the Constitutional Chamber Klara Sooronkulova, former officials Bektur Asanov, Mambetzhunus Abylov, ex-deputy Ravshan Dzheenbekov and ordinary citizens. They say that the movement intends to fight against the unfair actions of the authorities.

The gathered unanimously supported creation of the opposition and affixed their signatures.

The new movement has four main goals — restoration of democratic institutions and values, creation of a fair legal system, development of an anti-crisis economic program and the fight against poverty.
