Only 52 out of 1,227 anthrax burial sites are under the sanitary control of relevant services. Deputy Sultan Aizhigitov said at a meeting of Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
He asked to tighten the anti-epidemic and prophylactic control of the burial sites of this dangerous infectious disease.
«Only 52 burial sites of anthrax are under control. The location of the rest is unknown. Some burial sites are now being levelled and tried to be used. It would be cheaper to prevent a new outbreak than to deal with it later,» he said.
