The city of Osh will host the International Day of Yoga. Press service of the City Hall of the southern capital of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Vice Mayor of Osh Sonunbek Zhunusbaev met with Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Indian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Rajesh Kumar on March 25. The latter told that the day of Yoga was planned to be celebrated at the international level this year, and a similar event is also planned in Bishkek.
The municipality will provide any assistance and support in holding the event, the City Hall said.
The International Day of Yoga, established by a resolution of the UN General Assembly in 2014 to raise awareness of the world community about the benefits of yoga, is marked globally on June 21. It was first celebrated in June 2015.
