SCNS detains foreigners recruiting citizens to Syria

Activities of a group of foreigners involved in the spread of radical ideas of international terrorist organizations in the territory of Kyrgyzstan have been stopped as part of the detection and suppression of religious extremist and terrorist groups. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.

According to it, citizens of a foreign state were detained, who carried out recruiting activities on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic with the aim of further travel to the war zone in Syria, using the territory of Kyrgyzstan as a transit.

Active search measures are ongoing to identify other persons involved in the activities of international terrorist organizations.
