Uzbekistan supports territorial integrity of Ukraine - MFA

According to the media outlet, the Foreign Affairs Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov spoke about the situation in Ukraine at the 24th plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis. «The situation between Russia and Ukraine causes serious concern. We are supporters of a peaceful resolution of the conflict through political and diplomatic means. We are against military actions, violence,» he said.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan added that the country would continue to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. «Uzbekistan recognized the independence, sovereignty, inviolability of Ukraine. We do not recognize the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics,» he said.

Situation in Ukraine remains complicated. Fighting continues. Russia started a special military operation on February 24, 2022. The number of military and civilian casualties continues to grow. Many states have imposed and continue to impose severe sanctions on Russia.
