Negotiations between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Russia have ended in Moscow.
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that they were informative and based on trust.
«We are enthusiastically looking forward to the programs that will be implemented in Kyrgyzstan, as the city of Karakol received the status of the cultural capital of the CIS. We also discussed issues on the regional agenda, our interaction in international organizations, including the UN, the CIS, the CSTO and the SCO. We outlined concrete steps to step up our coordination in these structures. Much attention was paid to security issues in Central Asia,» he said.
The Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev emphasized that direct investments from Russia make up 60 percent of the total foreign investment in the country. Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates financial, technical and humanitarian assistance.
We are following the situation in Ukraine with great concern. The world is on the verge of a catastrophe. Nobody should push the parties to continuing the conflict.

«We need to look for any opportunities to resolve the situation, including by creating new formats if the existing ones have stopped working. Kyrgyzstan sincerely welcomes the start of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. If necessary, we can provide a platform for peace to be established,» Ruslan Kazakbaev noted.
Today is the 10th day of fighting in Ukraine. On February 24, 2022, the Russian President Vladimir Putin announced start of a special military operation. It was regarded in Ukraine and in the West as a full-scale invasion.
Second round of Russian-Ukrainian talks took place on March 3, 2022. The parties agreed on providing humanitarian aid to the population.
