Schools in Kyrgyzstan to receive more than 24,000 computers

More than 24,000 computers will be handed over to schools in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Ministry of Education and Science reported.

The equipment will be purchased as part of Learning for the Future project funded by the World Bank. A tender has already been announced. Equipment will be handed over to 1,200 schools (56 percent of the total) and 8 pedagogical colleges.

«The package of supplied computer and office equipment for target educational institutions includes 20 personal computers, 6 projectors, 2 network switches, 1 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and an MFP (printer + copier + scanner). In addition, classes in each school will be provided with 15 computer tables, 15 chairs and 15 tables for the system unit,» the ministry said.

The Ministry of Education added that it will create conditions for modern and high-quality education of children. «In this regard, in order to support the educational process with the help of technology, the project will develop digital content for grades 5-11 with an emphasis on mathematics and natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology). Digital learning materials will be available to all schools in Kyrgyzstan,» the ministry stressed.
