Journalist Semetei Talas uulu was released after detention.
He told his colleagues that nine books were confiscated from his house.
«The books are not related to extremism; they were published with the permission of the muftiyat. I was taken to the State Committee for National Security as a witness, so a lawyer was not needed. It all happened because of a Facebook post that I shared,» Semetei Talas uulu said.
He did not specify what kind of post he was talking about.
It was reported earlier that journalist Semetei Talas uulu was detained in Bishkek. Employees of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) conducted a search in his house. According to the SCNS, Semetei Talas uulu was detained for distribution of extremist materials.
