An intergovernmental commission on the delimitation and demarcation of borders with Tajikistan is working in Batken region. The Presidential Envoy to the region Abdikarim Alimbaev told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the commission started its work on February 10.
«The first meeting took place yesterday. If necessary, the intergovernmental commission will work in the border zone,» Abdikarim Alimbaev said.
Resumption of the work of the intergovernmental commission on delimitation and demarcation of borders was announced after negotiations between the head of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan Kamchybek Tashiev and the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan Saimumin Yatimov.
