Doctors from Mongolia operated on two children with heart defects in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the country’s embassy reported.
On the initiative and support of the Ambassador of Mongolia to the Kyrgyz Republic Gankhuyag Sodnom, the arrival of famous Mongolian doctors to Kyrgyzstan was organized — a Doctor of Medical Science, a cardiac surgeon with 33 years of experience, a member of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery, President of the Association of Cardiologists B. Boldsaykhan and Chief Pediatric Cardiologist, consultant with 35 years of experience in pediatric cardiology L. Byambasuren.
«The humanitarian medical organization Beyond the Limits has been providing medical services for children with congenital heart defects for the second year. During their trips, the representatives exchange experience and promote advanced minimally invasive methods of surgical treatment of the heart in young patients,» the diplomatic mission noted.
The Mongolian doctors hold daily working meetings, examined and consulted patients invited by the Research Institute of Cardiac Surgery and Organ Transplantation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
«Two children were jointly operated on in Bishkek. The postoperative condition of the children is assessed as stable. Two more children from Kyrgyzstan from remote areas will be operated on free of charge at the clinic in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia). All expenses are covered by the Mongolian side,» the embassy added.
The Ambassador of Mongolia Gankhuyag Sodnom noted that this project is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia. «I am sure that the implementation of such projects will make a real contribution to the development of cooperation between the two countries, strengthening mutual ties and harmonious development,» he said.
