Kyrgyzstan offers economic projects to India and Central Asian countries

Kyrgyzstan is ready to offer projects that will simultaneously help solve two problems — to increase competitiveness of the economy and improve transit interconnectedness of the republic. The President of the country Sadyr Japarov said at India — Central Asia online summit.

According to him, the state of the world economy, including the national one, is not in the best shape. It cannot recover from the recession and reach the pre-pandemic level. Trade and investment activity between Central Asia and India could be one of the triggers of economic recovery.

At the same time, the president of Kyrgyzstan drew attention to the possibilities of cooperation with India in the field of modern information and communication technologies and digitalization, proposing to consider the existing opportunities for the implementation of joint targeted projects in the public and private sectors.

Earlier, the head of state also said that Kyrgyzstan welcomes and supports the initiative of the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to establish the India-Central Asia dialogue platform.
