Deputies of the 7th convocation of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan will elect a speaker, his or her deputies and approve the structure of the Parliament today. Sources in the Parliament told 24.kg news agency.
The first session will be opened by the oldest MP. In this convocation, this is Sharapatkan Mazhitova from Yntymak party.
This will be the first case in the history of the country when a woman opens a session of the Parliament.
Further, the parliamentary deputies will elect a speaker and vice speakers, approve the structure of the Parliament.
As it was previously reported, there are three candidates for the post of speaker: Nurlanbek Shakiev (Aksy single-mandate constituency No. 17), Ulugbek Ormonov (Ishenim party) and Talant Mamytov (Yntymak party). According to preliminary data, Talant Mamytov will become the speaker.
