Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov got acquainted with the project of development of the city of Osh within the framework of his working visit to Osh region. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
It was noted that the project will ensure sustainable transport infrastructure, protection and preservation of the cultural and natural heritage and universal access to quality, safe and affordable housing. It will also expand the scope of environmentally sustainable urbanization and opportunities for integrated and sustainable planning of settlements and their management.
The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers familiarized himself with the project of horizontal gravity flow water system on Ak-Buura river in Toloikon village, Osh region. Its construction will provide residents of Osh city with volumes of clean drinking water. Akylbek Japarov noted that the issue of providing residents with clean drinking water is a priority and it needs to be resolved in the near future. He also promised that, if necessary, additional funding will be allocated.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers also got acquainted with the project of T road in Osh, which allows solving the problem of traffic jams on the central streets of the city. Akylbek Japarov noted that the proposed project needs to be finalized while taking into account that the number of vehicles will increase by the time the project is implemented.
«Both projects were designed as part of the Osh development project. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers stressed the need for accurate calculations when approving the projects and added that the government would support their implementation,» the statement says.
