Russians will not be able to replace migrants on construction sites. Foreign media report, citing a representative of the construction industry Evgeny Shevkun.
According to him, Russian citizens do not want to work in this field, even for a lot of money. He noted that the construction involves an intensive work schedule — six days a week for 11 hours. But Russian citizens are not willing to work at construction sites, they want to have free time. At the same time, there are no technologies that could radically facilitate the work at the sites.
Previously, the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin urged the capital’s authorities to reduce the number of migrants on the city’s construction sites. The Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation stated later that any Russian region could do without labor migrants at the construction sites, but first it is necessary to train the qualified personnel.
Almost 60 percent of Russians support restriction of external migration. It was also reported earlier that migrants from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in Russia have difficulties in accessing medical services.
