President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, within the framework of his participation in the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS), met with representatives of Turkish business in Istanbul. Press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The head of state noted that about 300 companies with Turkish capital work in Kyrgyzstan in various fields, which employ more than 5,000 Kyrgyzstanis.
He expressed confidence that many successful business projects will be implemented between the two countries, and called on Turkish entrepreneurs to actively invest in Kyrgyzstan.
Sadyr Japarov told about measures to support and protect the rights of investors, create favorable conditions for foreign entrepreneurs and assist in the implementation of their initiatives and projects.
According to him, in order to increase the volume of trade between the countries, a large role is assigned to business, which is the main locomotive of trade and economic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and Turkey.
The President believes that Kyrgyzstan, which has great investment potential, can and is ready to become a «window» for Turkish investors for entering the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union, China and other neighboring states.
He expressed interest in attracting investments, advanced technologies and management of Turkish companies in the development of the Kyrgyz economy.
«We are taking decisive steps to attract investors, to create an open business and investment climate. This is one of the most important priorities of the Kyrgyz Republic,» Sadyr Japarov said.
According to Aydin Mistacoglu, Co-Chairman of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Business Council under the Council for Foreign Economic Relations of Turkey, representatives of large Turkish companies gathered at the meeting.
According to him, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey has increased this year compared to 2020. However, as he believes, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey have a greater potential for cooperation in the economy and the existing volume of trade does not correspond to the possible level.
«We intend to contribute to bringing the trade turnover between our countries to a new level,» he said.
According to the presidential press service, the meeting was attended by representatives of large companies of Turkey in the field of subsoil use, construction, energy, information technology, light industry, as well as healthcare and education.
