Health Ministry comments on introduction of state of emergency in Kyrgyzstan

The number of people infected with coronavirus is increasing in Kyrgyzstan, but there is no need to introduce a state of emergency. The Deputy Minister of Health Madamin Karataev told at a briefing.

According to him, such a decision was made at a meeting with the Prime Minister of the country Kubatbek Boronov.

«At the same time, the head of the Cabinet ordered to take certain measures, in particular, to ensure work of civil servants remotely. Also, the Mayors of Osh and Bishkek cities were instructed to step up control over bazaars and shopping centers. The Ministry of Health should carry out explanatory work together with local authorities,» Madamin Karataev said.

In general, 4,402 people were diagnosed with coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan.
