An incident with use of weapons repeatedly occurred on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border. The State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
The conflict occurred tonight at about 01.20 in Eki-Tash area, Batken district.
«Unknown people from Tajikistan fired several shots from a hunting rifle at the car of a Kyrgyzstani who was driving along Osh — Isfana road. The man was wounded, he was hospitalized. Police officers are working at the scene. They conduct investigative measures. The situation at this section of the border is currently characterized as stable,» the State Border Service said.
This is already the third conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border for two months. Earlier, servicemen of the Border Troops of the National Security Committee of Tajikistan opened mortar fire in the direction of the Kyrgyz border guards. Three servicemen of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic were wounded during the shootout. Another conflict occurred in late May, when Tajik citizens illegally grazed livestock.
