Vladimir Putin’s visit. Russian journalist assesses preparation as bad

Dmitry Smirnov, a journalist for the Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda, criticized preparation of Kyrgyz officials for Vladimir Putin’s state visit to Bishkek on Telegram.

«I don’t know what the protocol of the president of Kyrgyzstan is about to surprise with, but there’s definitely something to work on. Kyrgyz Ala-Archa is the most useless of all the state residences of the leaders of the post-Soviet space from the point of view of a journalist. Everything is bad in it: from the very low Internet speed to the lack of space to feed the press,» the journalist posted.

«Sandwiches and tea are served there on tables in a micro-waiting room in front of the entrance to the hall. There is no press center, everyone is waiting for many hours in the same hall, even the toilet for journalists is located in the next building, the way to which is regularly blocked for security reasons. In general, colleagues have something to work on. If, of course, they think of that it is not only Putin who comes to them to work,» Dmitry Smirnov says.

The day before, the head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, Daniyar Sydykov, told what the Russian leader Vladimir Putin would be treated to during his state visit, which will begin on March 28.

According to him, the Kyrgyz Republic intends to hold the protocol ceremony in a new format.
