Ex-Speaker Akhmatbek Keldibekov withdraws material claims to Asia News

Ex-Speaker of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Akhmatbek Keldibekov withdrew material claims to Asia News media outlet. His lawyer, Gulya Ryskulova, told 24.kg news agency.

According to her, Asia News does not owe a million soms to her client, like the editor of the portal Aslanbek Sartbayev. The parties agreed on one condition — Aslanbek Sartbayev must refute his publications, which were challenged in court. The court found them illegal.

«We do not know who is the author of the publications. We filed a lawsuit against the chief editor, since he said that he wrote the articles himself under a pseudonym. The journalist, whose initials are under the materials, does not work in Asia News,» said Gulya Ryskulova.

Akhmatbek Keldibekov also sues Kyrgyztoday. The disputed material was sent for examination. The former speaker demands a million soms from the media outlet. Akhmatbek Keldibekov does not intend to refuse money if the claim is granted.

He dropped his material claims to Argument.kg.

In addition, Akhmatbek Keldibekov, former Prosecutor General Azimbek Beknazarov and the head of the State Committee for National Security Keneshbek Duishebaev re-sued  the former president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev and director of April TV channel Dmitry Lozhnikov. The total amount of the claim is 18 million soms.
