Deputies of Karakol City Council elected Adyl Kanimetov the new mayor of the city. The City Council informed 24.kg news agency.
Tabylga faction nominated the current speaker of the City Council Erlan Aisarakunov. Representatives of the other four factions nominated the candidacy of the vice mayor of Karakol city, Adyl Kanimetov. He was supported by 18 deputies.
Recall, on September 19, 2018, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziyev signed a decree on dismissal of Daniyar Arpachiev from the post of mayor of Karakol on the basis of submitted letter of resignation. Earlier, at an extraordinary session, the deputies of Karakol City Council passed a no-confidence motion against the mayor.
