Rosselkhoznadzor continues to detain fruit from Kyrgyzstan

Rosselkhoznadzor continues to detain fresh and dried fruits from Kyrgyzstan on the border with Kazakhstan. Agency’s website says.

At least five attempts to smuggle more than 98 tons of quarantineable products of high phytosanitary risk were suppressed on September 17-18 on the Russian-Kazakhstan section of the state border.

In particular, 41.1 tons of grapes, nectarines, plums and pomegranates with invalid phytosanitary certificates were detained and returned to the owners.

Import of 20.3 tons of dried fruits and nuts was prevented in Omsk region at Olkhovka checkpoint. Recipient column in the documents contained information about a liquidated organization, the range and quantity of imported products indicated in the phytosanitary certificate did not correspond to its actual availability. Its part was imported without passing quarantine phytosanitary control. The goods were returned to the owners.
