Russia lifts restrictions on import of fish and dairy products from Kyrgyzstan

Rosselkhoznadzor lifted restrictions on the import of fish and dairy products from Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan reported.

Negotiations were reportedly held in an online format between the officials of the Veterinary Service of Kyrgyzstan and the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision of Russia.

«During the negotiations, the director of the Veterinary Service informed the head of Rosselkhoznadzor about the set of necessary measures taken in relation to fish processing and dairy enterprises to eliminate all violations of the veterinary and sanitary requirements of the EAEU,» the statement says.

Based on the bilateral negotiations, the following agreements were reached:

  • Rosselkhoznadzor lifts temporary restrictions that were previously imposed on the fish processing enterprises of the Kyrgyz Republic Nuragrorybprom, Gifts of Nature with the status «Enhanced laboratory control»;
  • It also lifts the temporary restrictions that were previously imposed on the dairy enterprises of the Kyrgyz Republic Ak-Bulak Plus, Ak-Zhalga, Zhaiyl Milk, Ala-Too Sut with the status «Enhanced laboratory control»;
  • Rosselkhoznadzor decided to resume the supply of fish and dairy products from these enterprises to the territory of the Russian Federation;
  • It will also allow the supply of fish products to the new fish processing enterprise A2.

Official confirmation from Rosselkhoznadzor on lifting the temporary restrictions is expected.
