At least seven foreign organizations have been accredited for adoption of orphans in Kyrgyzstan. The Prosecutor of the Department for Combating Corruption and Supervision over Implementation of Law in Social Sphere and Protection of Rights of Children of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Nurzhan Talantbek uulu, told today at a press conference.
The USA is represented by Lifeline Children Services agency, non-profit corporation World Links Association, the nonprofit organization Across the World Adoptions, Premier Adoption Agency, the Worldwide American Adoption Association and Children’s House International agency. The Netherlands is represented by a non-profit Child and Future foundation.
«Since 2014, foreigners have adopted 93 children. The Prosecutor General’s Office examined the provision on the procedure for accreditation of international organizations. The supervising agency detected corruption and violations that allow officials at their discretion to accredit foreign organizations involved in adoption,» said Nurzhan Talantbek uulu.
