A coffee machine for 147,000 soms was bought for a cafeteria of the Historical Museum. Talantbek Kozhonov, Deputy Director of the Corruption Control Service of the State Committee for National Security, said this today at the meeting of Ata Meken faction.
According to him, a horse sculpture was bought for €22,000. Deputies were puzzled why the cost had so increased. Back in May, they were told that the horses were bought for €14,000 each. "Our specialists have found such horses for $ 5,000 in Ukraine," said faction leader Almambet Shykmamatov.
According to the Corruption Control Service, more than 6 million soms were spent on the purchase of chairs. Each chair cost 147,000 soms.
A criminal case was opened on illegal use of budget funds allocated for the reconstruction of the building and purchase of equipment for the State Historical Museum on July 13. The illegal actions of the officials of the Construction Department and the management of SMU-3 LLC led to illegal use of budget funds for a total of 118,215,200 soms.
